ViewPoint's ViewDocs software provides a GIS-based solution to manage and track tie-cards and as-built plans for public works departments and public utilities. It eliminates the need to search through paper plans by linking electronic versions of the documents to their associated geographic location using the GIS. For example, if a DPW worker needs to quickly retrieve the tie card or as-built for an address or area of town, they can go to ViewDoc, enter the address and immediately the record will be loaded on-screen, ready for printing or export to a portable device for mobile deployment.

ViewPoint’s mobile implementation of the document management system can be customized also to provide remote access to data, an extremely useful feature for field services or emergency response.
